Totally Dead Panasonic DMR-EZ45V No Power Repair - Can I fix it?

I bought this Panasonic DMR-EZ45V VHS to DVD Recorder at auction for £10 (£12.50 with auction house commission). When I plugged it in it was totally dead with no power at all. This is a very common problem with these VHS to DVD recorders as they are so old and the capacitors fail. Watch me trying to diagnose and fix this.
