Hello, my name is Steve Greene, also known as Old Man Muscle or the Iron Vegan. I have been a health and fitness devotee my entire life, always seeking the most effective way to optimize my well being and maximize my functional longevity. I have been actively bodybuilding since 1968, and now workout three times weekly with weights to keep my body strong and fit. For a period of seventeen years, I competed in bodybuilding physique competitions. During the 1970s, I worked out five days per week at Bill Pearl's Pasadena Health Club, several of those years training with Bill personally. Bill is a four-time NABBA Mr. Universe winner, and has won many other top bodybuilding titles. I was the owner and trainer of Globe Gym in southern California in the 1980s. I ultimately sold my gym to Pete Grymkowski, a well-known physique competitor of the time, and owner of Gold's Gym.

On this channel, I share my knowledge of bodybuilding, health, fitness, and longevity, with an emphasis on nutrition as it relates to health and longevity, which I have studied and personally researched beginning in the 1980s. Nearly twenty years ago, I transitioned into eating a whole foods plant based herbivorous diet, commonly referred to as a vegan dietary model. I am an active cyclist, having not owned a car since 2008, and I ride my human powered recumbent trike on interstate journeys of up to 1,000 miles, requiring up to three weeks duration.

My prime directive in life is honoring my body and health, and to this end, I have created the talks that appear on this channel in order to help like-minded folks with their healthy and fit life journey, hopefully maximizing their longevity in the process.
