A 3 day trip walking through some interesting, beautiful and historic country in Kahurangi National Park. Starting with the Anatoki Track, I walk up the Anatoki River valley to Anatoki Forks Hut for the night. The next day I climb up and over into the Stanley River valley, visiting the historic tent camp replica Soper Shelter, on the edge of the earthquake formed Lake Stanley.
From the incredibly restored Waingaro Hut, I walk on and spend the second night at Riordans Hut, another gorgeous historic restoration. Finally I finish off the loop on the third day via the historic Kill Devil Pack Track. An awesome trip with plenty of variety and Kahurangi history.
