Electric & Company - EC5B Compressor - KMR Demo Room

Electric & Co’s EC5B is a single-channel valve compressor/limiter - offering an augmented version of the classic 1960s “West Coast” UA 175B circuit (a precursor to the better-known 1176 FET limiter).

Utilising six valves and five transformers, this processor is a great choice if you want to achieve anything from a smooth valve sheen that beautifully tames spiky transients through to thick mid-range colour with plenty of attitude - this is not a transparent compressor!
