About The Film
Unedited interview with Father Paul Singleton, an Anglican priest of Sophiatown church, where the ”shebeen scene” in the the 1959 film Come Back, Africa was filmed. In this interview, he talks about his early years in Sophiatown and the film. Part of a series of unedited interviews with South African (and some American) writers, journalists and activists made in the late ‘80s, discussing the subject of censorship, films, journalism and more.
