Korban Cinta was released by BMG Pacific in 1996, fully composed and written by Johari Teh and this song is one of the soundtracks for the film Maria Mariana, which features Ziana Zain as the lead singer of all the soundtracks.

The film Maria Mariana was directed by Yusof Haslam, and the casts involved were Erra Fazira, Ziana Zain, Edika Yusof, and many more. The film which was released in 1996 went box office and grossed RM4.7 million. The film was also awarded Special Jury Award Box Office Film at Malaysian's 13th Film Festival in 1997. Ziana Zain also won Best Supporting Actress at Anugerah Skrin TV3 (1997).
