Railroad Crossings of the UP Villa Grove Sub Volume 1

The Villa Grove Sub runs from Chicago to Villa Grove, IL where it becomes the Pana Sub. From Chicago to Watseka, the line is shared by CSX, and thus the line is double tracked to there. It can be moderately busy at times, but I've also had days where I followed the line for over 3 hours and didn't see a single train.

The crossings on this line are a nice mixture of old and new equipment. Up until the 2010s, there were still quite a few mechanical bells left, but UP has axed most of those in recent years, mainly with GS E Bells.

This video will cover many of my early catches along this line, and some from this year. So far I only have videos from the north end of the line, but I will try to get to the southern portion sometime this year.
