ABOUT THE SHOW

There was something in the air that night...and it wasn't just fog & marijuana.

I had seen ISIS live a few times before this show but for some reason they never quite captured my full attention. This performance at Toad's was a different beast altogether though. A potent blend of atmosphere & attitude, with a setlist comprised entirely of new songs from their forthcoming album Oceanic.

ISIS was really firing on all cylinders that muggy June night opening for the Melvins. It was a defining moment in my sonic history - one that changed my listening experience forever.

The camera audio here is pretty listenable overall with the exception of Aaron + Cliff's vocals. They're pretty much non existent as I was grounded on the left side of the stage.
