Hi there,
This is my Advanced Plumbing Channel for beginner and advanced level of plumbing fitters.
I always try to show you the right ways of plumbing by my Advanced Plumbing Tutorials.

In this video I will sow you:
All about waste fittings || A best basin waste fittings tutorial

In this tutorial we'll be discussing all about waste fittings what a waste fitting is how it's connected and what it does so yeah we can see we have a 32 millimeter waist fitting 32 millimeter meaning the thread is 32 millimeter we can see this waist fitting has a hole inside here this is used for a basin with an overflow so 32 more waste fittings with holes get used on basins with overflows then we have a 32 more waist fitting without any hold this is used on basins without overflows so the way this is the way this is installed is there will be this rubber that comes on here this will go into the basin this will be at the bottom of the basin and

so picture this in the basin there's rubber at the bottom and then you will tighten this nut your tighten this nut until the waste fitting is tight you don't want to over tighten this because you could break the basin you don't want to do that so this is called 32 millimeter what 32 millimeter works on is a 32 millimeter trap the way this works is this waste fitting goes in the trap like that with your traps clamp on inside there and then you will tighten the clamp and that's how it gets sealed

then another thing about this is these are the more modern style waste fittings they're called pop-up so you use your hand to push it in half as you know your older waist fittings used to have plugs so this is just a more modern style of a waist fitting then we have the older style of the bath plug there's a bath waist this is measured into 40 millimeter the way you put the waste fitting in for the basin is exactly what you do in the bath in with these type of waste fittings you would actually use some window patty to install this which will be shown later so that is called 40 millimeter with the plug this is exactly the difference here you can see the 40 millimeter the thread is way shorter than that because what happens is the bath has only got a thin little base like this at the bottom and that's why it has such a short base which would go into a bath trap this would be a bath trap and then this would fit directly

in there with your clamp so that's how you would connect a waist fitting to a bath and this is the more modern style bath fitting you can see again short 40 millimeter measuring and there's also a pop-up so that's all about waste fittings i'll see you in the next tutorial.
