Thanks to Carobu Engineering and a generous owner for once again letting me review a Ferrari 308. https://www.carobu.com/
The 308 GTB was revealed at the Paris and London shows in 1975. Designed by Pininfarina and built by Scaglietti, the 308 retained the 308 GT4′s 2.9-liter V8. The first models boasted fiberglass coachwork, but demand was so strong for the entry level Ferrari that Maranello switched to stamped steel body panels, which were quicker and easier to make than fiberglass panels.

The model featured here is a 1978 GTB, the B standing for Berlinetta, which is the coupe version. In U.S. trim the 308 GTB's F106 2.9-liter, quad-cam 90° V8 put out around 240 horsepower and 195 lb/ft of torque. Fuel delivery is via four Weber 40 DCNF carburetors.

Thanks to a mid-engine layout, the 308 is a nimble and well balanced car that still impresses to this day with its balance and user friendly handling.
