Northeast Ohio Weather: Severe storms possible for parts of area

Your Northeast Ohio weather forecast:

Widespread showers will become scattered-to-isolated through the \ evening. Winds will switch to a westerly direction as cold air flows in around midnight Monday. Cold air aloft will briefly change rain over to snow through the early morning hours. A burst of wet snow will be likely early Monday before this system moves out.

Temperatures warm into the 40s both Monday and Tuesday. We introduce additional rain chances Tuesday. The placement of rain and timing is still uncertain but expect impacts New Year's Eve night.

Going into the new year, we flip the switch back to winter. Colder air will be returning along with snow chances.
