Tahirih to the Bab: 'Point by Point' - A Spiritual Love Poem

Táhirih (Ṭāhira) (Persian: طاهره, "The Pure One," also called Qurrat al-ʿAyn (Arabic: قرة العين "Solace/Consolation of the Eyes") are both titles of Fatimah Baraghani/Umm-i Salmih(1814 or 1817 – August 16–27, 1852),an influential poet, women's rights activist and theologian of the Bábí faith in Iran.

In 1852, in her mid-30's, Tahirih was executed for her beliefs and activities. Her last recorded words were, “You can kill me as soon as you like, but you will never stop the emancipation of women.”

The Bab was the fore-runner of Baha'u'llah, the Prophet of the Baha'i Faith
