The New Republic Problem

Even before the New Republic fully diminished the Empire's ability to strike back. Chancellor Mon Mothma was already looking towards the future and preparing some pretty drastic post war policies. While Mon Mothma was a terrific war time, leader her own experiences in the republic and imperial senate during the rise of authoritarianism drove her to the opposite extreme. The culture that she would help develop in her first two terms in office would set the New Republic on a disastrous course.
