Liszt - Hungarian Rhapsody no.2 S.244 - Horacio Lavandera

Hi everybody! Thank you very much for watching this video! This is my interpretation of one of my favourite Franz Liszt's works. To make this interpretation, I tried to recreate the gypsy instrumentalist and vocalist style as much as possible. I listened a lot of hungarian and gypsy folk music, which I am very fond of. The ways they play and improvise with, for instance, the cimbalom or the violin are unique. I tried to imitate their freedom to make the embellishments and rubato as well as the distinctive sonority of their groups with my piano. All cadenzas are the original Liszt's annotations for his pupils.

Hola amig@s! Gracias por ver este video! Esta es mi interpretación de una de mis obras favoritas de Franz Liszt. Para realizar esta interpretación traté de recrear al máximo posible el estilo de los cantantes e instrumentistas hungaros/gitanos. Escucho muchísima música de ellos la cual me fascina. El modo en que estos músicos interpretan e improvisan con el cimbalom o el violín por poner algunos ejemplos es único. Yo intenté imitar este estilo de libertad para realizar los rubatos y los embellecimientos tanto somo la cualidad de sonido que estos grupos desarrollan. Todas las cadenzas que utilizo son originales de Liszt dedicadas a sus alumnos.
