Dariusburst: Another Chronicle BGM - Syvalion Arrange GOLD (Dark Helios Extended)

"Dariusburst: Another Chronicle" is owned by Taito; “Syvalion Arrange GOLD” is composed Shohei Tsuchiya, of ZUNTATA, and Yasuhisa Watanabe (AKA Yack.), a former member of ZUNTATA and composer for the original "Syvalion".

One of the final bosses the player can fight in the original “Dariusburst” is Dark Helios. Encountered in “Zone J”, the ship’s first form is modeled after an oarfish. It’s second form, however, is a reference to something else entirely.

Dark Helios’ second form is based off "Syvalion", an old Taito game set in the same universe as "Darius". In this form, Helios becomes the dragon-like Syvalion spaceship and even has access to moves lifted from said game. For example, the dark-blue diamonds Helios uses in some attacks are projectiles used by some of the bosses in “Syvalion”.

Lastly, the song that plays during this phase is an arrangement of “Boss 5 [MEGAVALION/GALDVALION] ”, a track from the original game. It generally plays during the fifth and final boss fight of the game, but not in every instance. Somewhat like Dark Helios, Megavalion and Galdvalion were evil versions of the Syvalion spaceship; though in Helios' case, it is the original ship rather than a replica.

NOTE: The second phase of this fight is in the original; however, "Syvalion Arrange GOLD" doesn't play in the original version of this fight. The song was added to this phase in "Dariusburst: Another Chronicle"
