देशभर में दिवाली का त्योहार आज, 31 अक्टूबर को मनाया जा रहा है. आज के दिन लोग घरों में भगवान गणेश और माता लक्ष्मी की पूजा-अर्चना करते हैं. मान्यता है कि आज के ही दिन भगवान राम 14 वर्ष का वनवास काटकर पत्नी सीता और भाई लक्ष्मण के साथ अयोध्या लौटे थे. उनके आगमन पर अयोध्यावासियों ने दीपमाला जलाई. दीये जलाकर उत्सव मनाया और उनका स्वागत किया गया. तबसे हर साल कार्तिक मास की अमवास्या को दिवाली का त्योहार मनाया जाता है, लेकिन क्या आप जानते हैं कि अगर श्रीराम के अयोध्या लौटने पर दिवाली मनाई जाती है तो फिर इस दिन लक्ष्मी-गणेश की पूजा क्यों होती है ?

It is believed that on this day Lord Rama returned to Ayodhya with his wife Sita and brother Lakshman after spending 14 years in exile. On his arrival, the people of Ayodhya lit a lamp. Since then, Diwali festival is celebrated on Amavasya in Kartik month every year, but do you know that if Diwali is celebrated on the return of Shri Ram to Ayodhya, then why is Lakshmi-Ganesh worshipped on this day?
