Finally was able to do one of the requested bus journeys, from Osmanabad to Bengaluru by MSRTC Non AC Sleeper/seater bus. This bus has always been one of my favorite buses from the MSRTC fleet. The biggest advantage is that the rate for sleeper & seater is the same. Moreover, you also have fan for each berth, which helps during summer season. The fare is also less compared to Shivshahi buses and hence may be a bit more popular on certain routes. I have traveled before by this bus and I like this bus service. I had previously traveled from Mumbai to Kolhapur by this bus.

This bus is a 3 pm bus from Osmanabad bus stand and is scheduled to reach Majestic KSRTC Bengaluru by 8:30 am. However, I have always seen this bus reach by 7:30 am or so. Moreover, I reached Majestic by 6:45 am ie. almost 2 hours before time. The bus halts at many bus stand in between like Tuljaput, Solapur, Vijayapura, Hospet, Chitradurga etc. This also helps in getting more passengers along the way. In fact, quite a few people were also enquiring about the bus as not many people had seen it and it was looking quite attractive. The bus fare is Rs. 1350 and it takes around 15 hours to cover this journey. It actually halts for good time at bus stands to get more passengers. Total 4 crew members travel in this bus. Two drivers & two conductors for the route which I think is a bit too much. KSRTC operates longer routes with three crew members.

The bus was speed locked at 85 kmph. However, it was maintaining good speed throughout the journey. We overtook so many buses along the way, which I didn't think would have been possible. The bus was good from the outside however a bit of cleanliness was required from the inside. The sleeper berths were dusty & mine had shoe footprints. Nevertheless, the bus crew was very supportive.
