▼Synopsis
A one-off drama that was broadcast in 1982 on Fuji TV's ""Jidaigeki Special"" slot. It is based on the novel of the same name by Shuhei Fujisawa and written by Kaneto Shindo. As a dramatization of Fujisawa Shuhei's only biographical novel, it is an entertaining period drama that depicts the dark battle over the shogun's heir and the activities of the former imperial family members who were involved in it, and you can enjoy the ever changing development of the sword fight unfolded by Kitaoji and other performers.
One night, Genjiro Tsurumi (Kinya Kitaoji), a former samurai living a carefree life as a ronin in a tenement house, comes across a man being attacked by a group of men dressed in black. The dying man is an official secret agent, carrying a secret letter addressed to ""Matsudaira"". Genjiro meets with General Matsudaira Ukon (Tarumi Goro), who informs him of the existence of a mysterious group, the Hachitake Party, which aims to overthrow the Shogunate, and brings him to the company of his personal servant, Matsudaira Kamisamori (Ishibashi Renji). ......
