Welcome back to We Play Games! This video is the fourth in a playlist designed primarily to help you get the tools you need to succeed in Multiplayer, though obviously the things that are successful in Multiplayer are similarly good in Singleplayer (though the current state of the AI means you can kinda do whatever you want to in Singleplayer and feel OP).

Society Traits are incredibly impactful on the nature and form of your faction in Age of Wonders 4, but perhaps in ways that would surprise you. I think, broadly speaking, that you should deemphasize the affinities for each trait, not because affinities aren't important but because they are fairly plentiful in different ways to acquire them in the early game. As a result, some of the strongest traits in the game are associated with some pretty bad empire trees - hey, maybe that's a design choice on Triumph's part? Either way, there are some truly heinous society traits available in game (both in a good way and in a bad way), so in this video filmed on the Watcher patch we're just gonna break them all down and make a tier list.
