Principles of Upward Seepage in Soil | Essential Soil Mechanics

Описание к видео Principles of Upward Seepage in Soil | Essential Soil Mechanics

This video explains how to estimate the effect of upward seepage on stresses in soil mass. Due to artesian pressure, ground water can create the additional pore water pressure that will decrease the effective stress of soil and thus decrease the soil stability. To find the additional pore water pressure generated by the upward seepage we will need to calculate the additional pressure head, and this video shows how to do it.
