Quick Conditions in Soil | Soil Liquefaction Explained Using Soil Mechanics

Описание к видео Quick Conditions in Soil | Soil Liquefaction Explained Using Soil Mechanics

This video explains how to estimate the quick conditions/liquefaction in soil caused by the upward seepage. The seepage will generate additional pore water pressure that will decrease the effective stress in soil mass. As the effective stress drops tp zero, soil will loose its stability and liquefy. This is what quick conditions in soil are about. This video explains how to estimate the liquefaction potential of soil using the critical hydraulic gradient.
