Llanrhystud to New Quay - Wales Coast Path

Описание к видео Llanrhystud to New Quay - Wales Coast Path

Join Jan & Don on section 26 of their Wales Coast Path trek.

Leaving Llanrhystud and encountering the Claig Las lime kilns they head down the coast to Llansantffraed Church, passing Llannon with its wheat fields that also yield peas.

Then a short hop over some cliffs to the halfway point of Aberaeron where ice cream and pasties are taken in. A quick walk round the harbour takes us to the possible remains of the Aberaeron Express, a once thriving aerial tramway.

Leaving Aberaeron and ascending upwards on a serene path, this is soon intersected by a series of valleys yielding hidden waterfalls that flow off the cliff.

Once past these the route becomes more wooded with trees eventually reaching Cei Bach where the route forks to the beach or uphill on to the main road.

The upper route is taken as it is too hot for a sandy beach walk, plus the shop is en-route for supplies. New Quay is reached and chips are eaten before the last climb of the day.

A steep route is taken up over the headland before the lads take an inland detour to their campsite.
However, the route is blocked by around 1100 sheep - will they get through?

Jan does some headbanging and Don has a lie down after counting sheep.
