A36 Bonanza | High Performance Speed Management - Part 1

Описание к видео A36 Bonanza | High Performance Speed Management - Part 1

This is my first attempt at some sort of an insight or "tutorial" video for lack of a better term. I misspoke on a couple things that I want to try to clarify:

1) I said I have about 1,000 hours flying in this airspace - that's kind of true. What I should have said is that I have about 1,000 hours either departing from or arriving to this airspace on one end of the flight. Flying just within the local SoCal airspace I probably have closer to about 400-500 hours.

2) The whole "short field approach" with power coming to idle just as I cross the numbers was due to jetblast considerations from the Southwest 737 entering the parallel runway. He had his outboard (#2) engine up pretty high to make the turn so I elected for a higher "drop in" approach because of that.

3) During roll-out on the landing, I drift off centerline to the left - this was intentional. I explain it poorly but there's an aircraft crossing right to left downfield that would have been a conflict had I continued all the way down. I was trying to get ahead of the problem and set myself up for a 180 degree turn and back-taxi on the runway to the taxiway I had just passed but ATC contacted me shortly after instructing me just to continue down the runway and they'd cross him. Ended up working out nicely!

Please don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have!
