The EEOC's Birmingham District Office hosted an event featuring keynote speaker Dr. Flonzie Brown-Wright in commemoration of the 1963 March on Washington.

A Mississippi native, Dr. Brown-Wright’s activism chronicles many noteworthy events, including becoming the first African American woman elected to public office in the State of Mississippi, and marching alongside the late Rev. Dr. King as well as many other civil rights icons.

Dr. Brown-Wright also worked at the EEOC for many years.
