Mortal Kombat 3 // All Secret Menus
On Every Possible Platform

Hey guys! In today’s episode, I am going to unlock all the Mortal Kombat 3 secret menus on all possible platforms.

First I am going to unlock EJB Menu on the Arcade, then I will continue with PC and Playstation versions. Second part of the video will cover secret menus on all the 16 and 8 bit consoles.

So stay tuned and enjoy the video.

And don’t forget to hit the like and subscribe buttons!

Arcade version
There is only one secret menu in the Arcade version. EJB Menu is one of the longest held secrets in video games history. For more than 20 years, nobody knew about this menu!

How to unlock EJB Menu in the arcade version of Mortal Kombat 3
After the game has booted up, during the attract mode, quickly press the following sequence of buttons: P1 Block (5 times), P2 Block (10 times), P1 Block (3 times), P2 Block (1 times), P1 Block (2 times), P2 Block (2 times), P1 Block (3 times), P2 Block (3 times). If entered successfully, the Ultimate EJB Menu will appear.

There are all kinds of interesting things you can do in this menu – You can unlock Smoke without having to beat the game, you can play Galaga clone, you can watch credits and endings, adjust volume and settings, check statistics and more.

Windows
There are two secret menus in the Windows version.

Cheats Menu #1:
Start the game and let it go into attract mode. When the copyright screen appears, press Low Punch, Block, Run on the Player 1 controls. If its done correctly you will hear a sound. Instead of starting the game, go to the Kombat option and press Up to reveal blue question mark that has 4 options: Free Play, Smoke, Level Select and Fatality Time.

Now there is another menu with even more options.

Cheats Menu #2:
When you see the copyrights screen or even before, insert following sequence: High Punch, Low Punch, Low Kick, High Kick, Block, Block, Run, Run, Block, Block. If you have done it correctly you will hear Shao Khan say "You will never win". Then go to the Kombat option once again and press Up. Blue question mark has 2 additional options this time.

MS-DOS
There is no separate secret menu in the MS-DOS version, however

There are Kommand Prompt Kodes:
To use one of these codes, put it as an argument to mk3 when you run mk3.exe For example, instead of just typing "mk3" to run the game, type "mk3 666" to activate Smoke. You can combine codes too. Type in "mk3 666 1995" to activate Smoke and Invisibility mode.

I am not going to demonstrate all these codes but this the list of codes I know:

666 - Smoke Enabled
0666 - Smoke Enabled and CPU is harder
1000000 - Shao and Motaro Enabled in 2 player mode
831 - Noob Saibot Mode (shadow mode)
1995 - Invisibility Mode
8000 - Turbo Mode
603015 - Slow-motion Mode
4862222 - Block is Bad (when you block most of your energy will be lost)
9966 - Mirror Mode
1111 - Floating Mini-people Mode
54321 - Miniature Mode
12345 - Giant Mode
8888 - Fat Mode
NOBLOOD - Turns off blood until you turn it back on.
BLOOD - Turns blood back on.
NOVIOLENCE - Turns off fatalities until you turn it back on.
VIOLENCE - Turns on fatalities. Blood must also be on for fatalities to work.

Playstation
Playstation version is identical to Windows version.

To unlock the first menu, press X, L1, L2 while in attract mode. To unlock the second menu, press X, Circle, Triangle, R1, R1, R2, R2, R1, R1 while in attract mode.

Super Nintendo
In the Super Nintendo version there are four secret menus to unlock and many more options you can play with. Some of the options in these secret menus are very cool.

Kool Stuff
Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, A, B, A - At the start game screen

Kooler Stuff
Select, A, B, Right, Left, Down, Down, Up, Up - At the start game screen

Scott's Stuff
X, B, A, Y, Up, Left, Down, Right, Down - At the start game screen

Sound Test
A, Y, B, X - At the start game screen

Sega Genesis
There are three secret menus in the Genesis version.

Cheats:
A, C, Up, B, Up, B, A, Down at the select screen.

Killer Kodes:
C, Right, A, Left, A, Up, C, Right, A, Left, A, Up at the select screen.

Secrets:
B, A, Down, Left, A, Down, C, Right, Up, Down at the select screen.

I really like how Sega has designed the unlocking of these menus, I mean, the way they used sounds and shake effect always made me want to open these menus again and again. However, I have to admit that Super Nintendo’s version has way more options in them.

Other Ports
Unfortunately, there are no hidden secret menus on 8-bit consoles such as Sega Master System, Game Gear or Nintendo Gameboy.

Thanks for watching the video. Like and subscribe, if you liked.
