A half-barrier level crossing located next to Milford Railway Station on the Portsmouth Direct Line, a crossing that's expected to gain a full renewal and conversion when re-signalling between Farncombe and Petersfield takes place later in 2025. The crossing in its current form dates back to the 1990s, though appears to be having trouble with the treadles in the down direction as a non-stop train was brought to a stand for a few seconds before the crossing even activated in one of these lowerings. This is not the first time I've known this happen here.

Following a road closure for preparation works a few weeks prior to filming, four new 'Mk.2' LED wigwags were installed here (including a thin one) with pedestrian signals placed in-situ on the off-sides. However, the audible alarms here were also changed; gone is the unique 'French Fire Alarm' tone Appello alarm which this crossing was well known for, and in its place (as well as the other Appello's place) are these E2S 'Alert Alarms' which are the exact same type used on a nearby crossing for a while after its commissioning, although these ones sound with incredibly uneven tones when the red lights start flashing. It is un-clear how these behave in the 'second-stage / another train coming' sequence, just like it was for one's predecessor for a few years. Despite this odd partial renewal, the 1990's 'Smiths Industries' barriers remain, although one is missing an end barrier light rather confusingly. This crossing never seems to be a completely ordinary one.
