ཕྱི་ལོ་ ༡༩༣༢ ལོར་ཀོང་པོའི་ཡུལ་དུ་སྐུ་འཁྲུངས་ཤིང་། ༡༩༣༣ ལོར་རྒྱལ་མཆོག་སྐུ་ཕྲེང་བཅུ་གསུམ་པ་ཐུབ་བསྟན་རྒྱ་མཚོ་མཆོག་གིས་དྭགས་པོ་བླ་མ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་འཇམ་དཔལ་ལྷུན་འགྲུབ་རྒྱ་མཚོ་མཆོག་གི་ཡང་སྲིད་དུ་ངོས་འཛིན་མཛད་དེ་དགུང་གྲངས་དྲུག་ཐོག་བཀའ་གདམས་བང་རིམ་ཆོས་སྡེ་དང་། དགུང་གྲངས་ ༡༣ ལ་ཕེབས་སྐབས་དྭགས་པོ་བཤད་སྒྲུབ་གླིང་གྲྭ་ཚང་དུ་ཆོས་བཞུགས་མཛད་དེ་བོད་ཀྱི་རིག་གནས་སྤྱི་དང་གཞུང་ཆེན་བཀའ་པོད་ལྔ་གཙོས་པའི་མདོ་སྔགས་ཀྱི་གཞུང་ལུགས་དུ་མར་གསན་བསམ་རྒྱ་ཆེར་མཛད། དགུང་གྲངས་༢༤ སྐབས་བོད་ཀྱི་དབུས་སུ་ཕེབས་ཏེ་དཔལ་ལྡན་འབྲས་སྤུངས་སྒོ་མང་གྲྭ་ཚང་དུ་ཆོས་བཞུགས་ཀྱིས་བཤེས་གཉེན་དུ་མར་བསྟེན། ཕྱི་ལོ་༡༩༥༩ ལོར་བོད་ནང་དུས་འགྱུར་བྱུང་སྟེ་རྒྱ་གར་དུ་བཙན་བྱོལ་ལ་ཕེབས་དགོས་བྱུང་རྗེས ༡༩༦༠ ལོར་ཧྥ་རན་སིར་བོད་མི་བཞི་འབྱོར་ཡོད་པའི་ཁུངས་ནས་གཅིག་ཡིན་པ་དང་། པེ་རི་སིར་རྟེན་གཞི་བྱས་པའི་ཤར་ཕྱོགས་ཀྱི་ཤེས་རིག་དང་སྐད་ཡིག་སློབ་གྲྭ་ཆེན་མོར་ ( INALCO ) བོད་ཀྱི་སྐད་ཡིག་དགེ་རྒན་དང་། ( Sorbonne university ) སོར་བོན་མཐོ་སློབ་ནང་ཞིབ་འཇུག་སློབ་སྦྱོང་སོགས་གནང་ཡོད་པ་མ་ཟད། ད་བར་ཧྥ་རན་སི་གཙོས་པའི་ཤར་ནུབ་ཀྱི་རྒྱལ་ཁབ་ཁག་ཅིག་གི་ནང་ཆོས་ཚོགས་ཆེ་ཆུང་མི་ཉུང་བ་ཞིག་བཙུགས་ཏེ་ཆོས་ཕྱོགས་ཀྱི་མཛད་འཕྲིན་བསྐྱངས་དང་སྐྱོང་བཞིན་ཡོད་པ་བཅས་སོ།
Dagpo Rinpochen, lobsang Jamphel Jampa Gyatso was born in Dhagpo, Kongpo Southeastern in Tibet in 1932. Rinpoche was recognized by the Thirteenth Dalai Lama as the reincarnation of Dagpo Lama Jampel Lhundrup when he was only one year old.
At age six, Rinpoche entered Bamchoe Monastery where he first learned to read and write, studying Tibetan Buddhism.
At age thirteen, Dagpo Rinpoche began studying Buddhist philosophy at Dagpo Shedrup Ling. When he was twenty four, he continued his studies at Drepung Monastery.
In 1959, as the Chinese invaded Tibet, he followed the Dalai Lama into exile in India. In 1960, he moved to France, where he took up a research and teaching position at INALCO and Sorbonne University in Paris. He started several Buddhist centers, first in France and later in the Netherlands, Switzerland and Asia. He has been particularly active in teaching and reviving Buddhism in Indonesia.
