One of the most important invasive species in the world, the Asian tiger mosquito, may have met its match thanks to a new control method developed by entomologists at the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture, Food and Environment. A collaboration between UK and a Lexington-based company recently received approval from the United States Environmental Protection Agency for the first-ever biological control method in the country targeting the Asian tiger mosquito.
