Self Tape Audition Tip: Here's a self tape audition example with a ring light. Many casting directors say that they don't like it when actors use ring lights for their self tape lighting because the reflection of the ring in the eye is a distraction. So what does this mean if you are self taping a ring light right now? Do you throw it in the closet and go buy a different light? Hold on, don't give up on your ring light just yet. I'm going to show you a quick hack to continue using your ring light but without the ring of light in your eyeball.
