iRacing & Windows Clean Install (with TIME SAVING TIPS!)

In this video we walk through the process to re-install iRacing and Windows, so you have a clean copy of both on your PC. This is useful if you're experiencing iRacing FPS issues, crashes and other unexplained problems with either Windows or the sim, and all other avenues to fix the problem haven't worked.

We have a number of ways to save time when going through the re-install process (such as how to backup your iRacing CARS and TRACK data in advance) and a recommended sequence to follow, which will provide a stable platform to work from once you're back up and running .

A clean install of Windows isn't something we'd recommend doing on a regular basis and carries the health warnings of data loss and configuration reset, so take the time to understand how the process works before deciding if this is the right course of action for you.
