Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway Anniversary Gala; 31 Aug 2015

Come join us on a day out on the “La’al Ratty” as they celebrated their 100th anniversary as a 15-inch gauge line. Visiting locos, Brass bands, Morris dancing and Synolda in steam made for a packed day!

Follow us as we go for a run up the line as well as a ride on a re-enactment of the original train first train pulled by Synolda to Muncaster Mill. There is a walk around Rqavenglass including the rebuilt workshop, Morris dancing from "Two-headed sheep" and Egremont Town band playing throughout the day.

There is a shot of Class 37 working a loco-hauled service on the Cumbrian COast Line at Ravenglass and the final couple of shots were taken at the end of the day are at Muncaster Mill - in particular with Lydia taking a train up the line

I ended up with 1 hour 40 minutes offilm from the day and whittling it down to under haf an hour was no easy task!
