This is the lecture 3 of Antenna Arrays series and describes about the various forms of antenna arrays especially Broadside Array, Ordinary End-Fire Array, Hansen-Woodyard End-Fire Array, and Phased (Scanning) Array. Each array is discussed with their maxima conditions along with examples to understand the radiation characteristics of the arrays in 3D and 2D form.
The various parameters especially null, maxima, half-power points, minor lobe maxima, FNBW, HPBW, and FSLBW expressions has been discussed for aforementioned arrays. Finally, the summary of the discussed arrays with their maximum radiation along with element spacing conditions are illustrated.
