McFarlane's DC Multiverse Batman & Robin movie MR FREEZE Repainted & Chromed!

Описание к видео McFarlane's DC Multiverse Batman & Robin movie MR FREEZE Repainted & Chromed!

The final figure in the BUILD-A-FIGURE wave from McFarlane's DC Multiverse BATMAN & ROBIN set is of course, MR FREEZE! The parts are together and the figure is repainted and CHROMED by hand! Details below!

Special Thanks to GREG & GAIL KIMSEY at The Artfull Barn in Clarkesville, GA for all my paints and supplies to make this figure redo possible!

(And to all, apologies for the shaking camera and focal issues!)

So...
HOW I DID IT:
You can repaint the figure much easier BEFORE YOU BUILD HIM!
But, do not try to chrome the figure until after he is put together, as you do not want to handle the chrome as it sets up. It takes 6 hours to dry to the touch and days to fully cure. Once it has, it is scratch proof and lasts for years! (According to the manufacturer!)

I used the Vallejo acrylic paints shown in the video, Light Grey, Dark Grey, Blue Green, Transparent Blue, Ultra sheen Metallic Blue, and sealed the under paints with Mr Hobby Super Clear MATT for the under parts, the amazing Molotow LIQUID CHROME Mirror Effect pen (I used the 2.0 tip for better flow...) and last but not least, Intermediate GAUZY Agent SHINE ENHANCER for the blue "fish bowl" bubbles and to coat the chrome after it sets a day or so.

I tried to match the clear blue dome on his helmet and that is why I simplified my colors like I did.
The rest is looking at photo references of the movie costume, and stills from the film!

If you try it, BEST OF LUCK! And hope you succeed!
Repainting this series has been a dream come true for me, so I hope you have enjoyed all five of the figures and how I did what I did.
