Comrades Marathon Up Run! The 97th run of the Comrades Marathon - a footrace from Durban to Pietermaritzburg, 85.91km - The Ultimate Human Race.

I ran the 2024 Comrades Marathon and recorded highlights with my GoPro. I started in D-batch and finished the race in 10 hours, 38 minutes, and 57 seconds. This was my 15th Comrades Marathon and my best time for the Up Run, and 2nd best overall (Best = 10:28 in the 2012 Down Run). It was very good running conditions. I would have loved to run under 10 hours, but very happy that I finished strong with very little discomfort.

For my GoPro I carried 4 batteries, but only used 3. I recorded in 5.3K, 25 fps. The GoPro was mounted on an Insta360 Invisible Selfie Stick. My setup worked very well, but after about 70km of running I wished I had a camera assistant to share the load. The GoPro Hero still amaze me with the good stabilization.
