Pilgrimfolk -Psalm 129 (live)

Описание к видео Pilgrimfolk -Psalm 129 (live)

It was a blessing to be a part of the worship team for this event in July 2019. Thanks to Nick Johnston for organising Rod, Sylvan and myself to perform at City on a Hill Church before Stan Goodenough spoke about the dramatic events happening in Israel. Also, this was at the beginning of the event and everyone was fashionably late... the place was full!

This Psalm speaks volumes about the ongoing conflict. No matter what Israel has suffered in the past, nothing can keep them down when the LORD holds them up. And the same is true for our personal spiritual enemies.

Psalm 129
(C, F)
From my earliest youth, my enemies have persecuted me
let Israel now say, from my earliest youth my enemies (Am, G, F)
have persecuted me, but they have never been, able to bring me down

(C, G, F)
Now I'm covered with cuts, as though a farmer plowed furrows
long into my back
But the LORD is good to me, He has severed the chords
used by the unGodly to bind me (G)

(F, /E, Dm, C, Am, Dm, F | 1st. F / 2nd. G)
May all who hate Jerusalem be
turned back in shame, may they be as grass, fading away
May those who pass them by in the street
refuse to give the blessing,
the blessing of the LORD's Name be on you
