Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM): Recent Updates and Future Insights

Описание к видео Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM): Recent Updates and Future Insights

The EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) is an environmental policy tool that is part of the "Fit for 55" package, one of the European Green Deal initiatives. The regulation entered into force on October 1, 2023. With the transitional phase well underway, affected sectors—such as steel, electricity, fertilizers, cement, iron, aluminum, and hydrogen—must prepare for stricter requirements, including the use of the EU-specific emissions reporting method, which becomes mandatory on January 1, 2025. When the definitive CBAM regime takes effect in 2026, actors affected by CBAM requirements will need to declare the emissions associated with their imports and purchase certificates to cover them.

To support your company in navigating these changes, we invite you to watch this recording of our CBAM webinar. This short session is part of our ongoing CBAM series, with previous recordings also available on our YouTube channel. You can watch them here:
