The government or the controller may appoint such staff, and at such places as it or he may consider necessary, for the scrutiny of the policies, statements and other information furnished by the prospective policyholder with the object to ensure efficient performance.

The Branch Manager can be appointed at any place in India for the purpose of procuring insurance business.

A branch manager shall be appointed by the competent authority after interviewing the candidate and satisfying about his suitability.

The appointing authority at the time of appointment of the branch manager shall be guided by such rules as may be specified from time to time.
