Summary
This video shows the Meitetsu Tanigumi Line, which used to run through some of Japan's most scenic spots. This line has many historically interesting elements, and we'll be focusing on the old trains and abandoned tracks.

The first location is Kurono Station Rail Park. This was formerly Kurono Station, a branch point for the Tanigumi Line. It opened in 1926 to transport visitors to temples along the line, and was used by local worshippers and tourists. However, with a decline in the number of worshippers and depopulation along the line, its importance gradually faded, and it was closed in 2001.

We introduce the origins of the Tanigumi Line and the historical background leading up to its closure, while also showing the scenery of the abandoned track. We'll also show you why the trains that once ran on this line are still preserved, and give you the chance to go inside the trains.
