Abstract. Despite the remarkable progress of recent years in AI and Robotics, still articial intelligent agents, a.k.a. robots are far away from the adaptivity, dexterity and efficiency of their natural animal and even vegetal counterparts.
How can we ll the gap? Do we need a paradigm change? We share some ideas about how to build a new generation of robots much closer to the naturally evolved intelligent agents. The new model should also shed some light on some important computational biology and medicine challenges.
