Weaving On A Floor Loom with Handspun Yarn - Trick or Treat Purse! (Part 1)

I'm going to sew a bag completely from scratch! I'm starting with the wool, spinning it on a spinning wheel, then using the handspun yarn to weave fabric on my floor loom. It's like a fiber to fabric adventure! Come and watch how I spin the yarn on my spinning wheel, choose a pattern to sew, plan the fabric, dress my floor loom, and weave the cloth I will use to sew a messenger bag.

Phew! That's a lot! This is part one of the whole project because I can't fit everything into one video.

🧶The loom I'm using is a vintage 4 shaft 6 treadle loom made by the American loom maker Binder. If you are interested in a loom, I highly recommend the Ashford Jack loom as a great beginner loom. It is smaller than my "Bertha" but has a ton of capability with 8 shafts! You can check it out at:
