Описание к видео A river in winter: the River Yare from source to sea

This 24-minute documentary, produced in 1975, follows the course of the River Yare in Norfolk from its source near Shipdham to Breydon Water at Great Yarmouth.

The video shows glimpses of the watermills at Marlingford and Bawburgh and some interior shots of Keswick Mill.

Several drainage mills can also be seen: Hardley, Cadge’s, Polkey’s and Berney Arms.

There is also a two-minute section featuring Reggie Mace, a retired marshman, who is seen operating the diesel pumps at the Seven Mile Site near Reedham.

Other scenes include: the creation of the UEA broad, winter holidaymakers, Brundall and its boats, Coypu, Cantley sugar beet factory, and Reedham, including the swing bridge in operation.
