Steam Bending Laminating and Shaping Wood | How I Made the Cockpit Coaming | Wooden Boat Building

Here's the process I used to make the cockpit coaming for my latest boat build. I wanted this to be one continuous piece of wood if possible. This formed quite a challenge as it bends in two different directions at the same time. It involved steam bending, laminating and shaping a single piece of Sapele so I decided to make a video showing how I went about it. I hope you find it interesting!
