Roland JX3p vs alphaJuno 1

Описание к видео Roland JX3p vs alphaJuno 1

Review and comparision of basic differences and sounds. First of all I made 4 different sounds compared on both synths and in the second part I demonstrate some different strenghts of both synths. I didn't go too deep becuase it would make this video too long and maybe boring. I should give you a good and objective overview of the strenghts, advantages and disadvanteges of both synths.
My conclusion is: the alpha goes very deep with additional waveforms, great PWM, adjustable Chorus and adjustable suboscillator. Also you have great several stages envelopes with different settings.

The JX3P is less capable, but has two oscillators for warm vintage tone to detune, sync oscillator and ring modulation. It has no real PMW, but you can adjust it over the sync mode, but than you only have only one oscilator sounding.

The JX3P has the Jupiter 8/Juno 60 filter, which is IMO an poor mans JP8 and a better Juno without knobs. The alpha Juno has a bit a more gritty filter, sounds a bit harsh and less warm, but you can get really great 70ies like stuff and modern tones out of it as well.

Some great vintage tones of the JX3P you can't program on the alpha, but the other way round, the JX3P is much less capable to match alpha tones. So you need both synths :-)
