今天和各位講好心好報
Today I'll speak about
"One with goodwill gets good returns."
這句話我們也平常都聽到
We often hear this remark:
所謂這善有善報 惡有惡報
What goes around comes around.
不愁不報 時辰未到
Time will tell what one
is rewarded in the end.
做善事的人不要灰心
One with goodwill shouldn't get frustrated.
一定有報應的
There will definitely be rewards.
但是有的人對報應不能瞭解
Someone might not
understand causality.
比方說我天天念佛、拜佛
For example, I chant and
pray to the Buddha every day,
我的錢都給人家倒閉啦
but I still went broke.
佛菩薩怎麼沒有幫忙我呢
Why didn't the buddhas help me?
或者說
Or
我在念佛、我吃素、我在禮拜
I am mindful of the Buddha,
I am a vegetarian doing all sorts of rituals.
怎麼我身體越來越不健康
However my health was getting worse
老是疾病纏身
and I was bed-ridden.
或者我都做善事、布施
Or I am doing good deeds or
always practice giving to others,
可是我的家庭常常都是出問題
but my family always has problems
給人找麻煩
or go into trouble.
這個不要怪因果不靈
Don't think there is no causality
to what you're doing.
這個報應你要知道
You must know that
rewards or punishments
報應不是一世的
won't just come to you in this life.
它有三世
There are 3 periods of life:
過去、現在、未來
past, present and future.
你過去世別人
In the past,
過去我欠人的錢
you owed money to someone.
在銀行我欠了 虧欠
You owed money to the bank.
銀行不能說你現在很好人
Even if you're now a good person
你修行
and have cultivated a lot,
你可以不還債了不還錢了
the bank just won't exempt you
from pay off the debts.
不可能
It's impossible.
你好人是以後有好報
If you're a good man,
you'll still be rewarded.
但你前面的債務你不能不還
But you still have to
clear the debts in the past.
你這個人作惡多端
We may see a man who has done
all the evil deeds,
可是你富貴榮華
but is still very wealthy.
怎麼老天沒有眼睛
How could the god be so blind
怎麼讓你這種壞人這麼樣子享福
that he allows him
to have a good life like this?
他過去在銀行裡有存款
He might have a lot of savings
in the bank before.
不能因為他現在說做壞事 壞人
We can't think that,
simply because he's doing bad deeds now,
就不給他
and so all his
錢就不給他用
money should be forfeited.
還要給他用
He still has the right to use his money!
不過用完了以後就麻煩了
When he uses up all his savings,
he'll be in trouble.
所以三世因果
Thus causality in 3 periods of life is like
欲知前世因 今生受者是
What you get this life is rewards
from what you did last life.
欲知未來的果 今生作者是
What you will get in next life is
rewards from what you do this life.
這個因果通三世
The causality is going through 3 lives.
同時這個因果你不要錯亂
At the same time, you shouldn't
get confused with them.
信仰有信仰上的因果
Your faith,
道德有道德的因果
virtues,
財物有財物的因果
wealth,
健康有健康的因果
health,
人緣有人緣的 各種因果
and interpersonal relationships
all has its causality.
你不能說我吃素就要我發財
You can't become rich simply
because you stop eating meats.
我不能我做了一件什麼好事
You can't assume that
because I did a good deed,
我就要健康
and so I should become healthy.
這因果不是這樣的
Causality doesn't develop this way.
這個是錯亂因果
This is called disorder in causality.
所以如是因種如是果
A cause brings a result.
種瓜得瓜 種豆得豆
As you sow, so will you reap.
所以我們過去的信徒們
Therefore, the devotees in the past
對佛門這麼簡單的因果
didn't really grasp the simple idea
of Buddhist causality
都不能完全瞭解它
thoroughly.
都是把這個
They all took it
他看錯了
in the wrong way.
你現在就是受苦
Your suffering now
想到 對了 我過去這業障
should remind you of
your bad deeds in the past.
我應該要接受的
This is what you deserve.
我現在修佛
Now I am practicing
the Buddha's teachings.
不過沒有關係
It doesn't matter.
我來生會有報應的
I will be rewarded what
I deserve next life.
所以人生不是一天的
Therefore a person's life
is not just one day long.
它有過去、現在、未來
It has its past, present, and future,
生命是輪迴
and life runs in a cycle.
在輪迴裡面善惡因果不是一時的
The causality in the cycle of birth
and death is never short-lived.
所以不愁不報 時辰未到
Don't worry.
Causality will come up in the right time.
