BEST TAPAS in BARCELONA | Local Market Tour + Amazing Pastries

Another amazing day in one of the best food cities in the world! Our 6th day in Barcelona brings us to the Santa Caterina Market, an often-overlooked market that is a great alternative to La Boqueria that's also located in the city centre. We couldn't leave without getting some food so we ate an incredible Spanish brunch inside the market at Bar Joan! Afterwards, we couldn't resist coming back to Hofmann Patisseria to try more of their famous croissants and what better atmosphere to eat them in than the famous Ciutadella Park!

A great local stop for delicious Catalan food! This was one of the most memorable meals we had in Barcelona because every single item was just mouth-wateringly good! Think delicious breakfast sausages, chorizo, fried fish and salted cod! Bar Joan can do no wrong.

5:36 - Jamón from Santa Caterina Market
Santa Caterina Market is often overshadowed by the more popular La Boqueria but it is a great alternative that isn't nearly as packed as its touristy sibling. We obviously had to stop by for some delicious and cheap jamón! If you're looking for great produce, cold cuts and cheeses we highly recommend stopping over at Santa Caterina market if you don't want to deal with the crowds at La Boqueria.

7:50 - Parc de la Ciutadella
An incredibly beautiful city park that is a great place to relax and unwind amidst the busy city streets. It's in a very convenient location just outside the El Born neighbourhood and you can expect beautiful fountains, gorgeous architecture and sculpture, and even the city zoo!

9:04 - Hofmann Patisseria Croissants at the park
This was our 2nd time visiting Hofmann Patisseria because we just couldn't resist their GOAT croissants. If you watched our Barcelona Day 2 video then you already know that their mascarpone croissants are hands down the best croissants we've ever had! So, of course, we couldn't resist trying some more flavours. Eating croissants with the beautiful park as your backdrop really is an amazing relaxing experience.
