Baurusuchidae was a clade of terrestrial crocodylomorphs from Late Cretaceous South America. They belonged to the diverse Notosuchia and were closely related to the sebecids. While most Mesozoic land crocs were small, many of the baurusuchids were relativity large, allowing them to fill niches usually held by small to medium sized carnivorous dinosaurs.
