In einem kleinen Haus in einem Dorf in Luxemburg lebte einmal ein altes Ehepaar, dessen Passion ein Leben lang das Reisen gewesen war. Von ihren Expeditionen in die weite Welt brachten sie auch immer Erinnerungsstücke mit nach Hause gebracht, die im ganzen Haus ausgestellt sind. Exklusive Stücke, wie ich sie noch nie zuvor gesehen habe. Vom Geld her hatte es immer gut gereicht, Reisen in die Ferne, schicke Souvenirs, ein teures Auto – doch dann starb die Frau und der Mann blieb alleine in dem Haus zurück.
Das einsame Leben nach so vielen gemeinsamen Ehejahren gestaltete sich als nicht einfach und so war es nicht weiter verwunderlich, dass irgendwann auch Krankheiten hinzukamen und der Mann zum Pflegefall wurde. Das angesparte Geld zerfloss zwischen den Fingern und schließlich starb der Mann im hohen Alter in seinem Bett – und hinterließ einen Berg an Schulden. Niemand wollte das Erbe der Eltern antreten, denn das hätte bedeutet, dass man zusammen mit dem Haus auch gleichzeitig die Schulden erbt, die hinterlassen wurden.

Und deshalb ist das Haus seit vielen Jahren verlassen, Schimmel und natürlicher Verfall haben Einzug gehalten, doch all die Erinnerungsstücke an das Leben des reisefreudigen Ehepaares halten die Erinnerung an die beiden Menschen wach. Für die Lost Place Tapes sollte dies eine der interessantesten Erkundungen überhaupt werden und mit Sicherheit der schönste verlorene Ort des Großherzogtums!

In a small house in a village in Luxembourg once lived an old couple whose passion had been traveling for a lifetime. From their expeditions into the wide world, they also brought home memorabilia that are exhibited throughout the house. Exclusive pieces like I've never seen before. Money had always been good, traveling far, fancy souvenirs, an expensive car - but then the woman died and the man had to stay in the house alone.
The lonely life after so many years of marriage together was not easy and so it was not surprising that at some point also illnesses arose and the man became a nursing case. The accumulated money fizzled between his fingers and eventually the man died at an old age in his bed - leaving behind a mountain of debts. Nobody wanted to inherit the parents' inheritance, because that would mean that, together with the house, they would also inherit the debts that had been accumulated.

And that is why the house has been abandoned for many years, mold and natural decay have set in, but all the mementos of the life of the traveling couple keep the memories of the two people awake. For the Lost Place Tapes this should be one of the most interesting explorations ever and certainly the most beautiful lost place in the Grand Duchy!
