「重力波告訴我們甚麼？」湯兆昇博士 'What Do Gravitational Waves Tell Us?' by Dr. Tong Shiu Sing

愛恩斯坦發表廣義相對論100年之後，物理學家才真正探測到重力波。究竟重力波是怎樣被探測的？它怎樣改變我們人類對宇宙旳認知？又怎樣驗證廣義相對論呢？中大物理系高級講師湯兆昇博士於「博文在線」講座中，以「重力波告訴我們甚麼？」為題，跟大家一起探討。

Only 100 years after Einstein published the General Theory of Relativity have the physicists discovered gravitational waves for the very first time. How could the gravitational waves be detected? How could they change the humans' understanding about the universe and verify the General Theory of Relativity? Dr. TONG Shiu Sing, Senior Lecturer of Department of Physics at CUHK, discusses with the audience in the 'Class Acts' talk on 'What Do Gravitational Waves Tell Us?'.
