sukekiyo - 憂染 [eng sub] LIVE HD

Описание к видео sukekiyo - 憂染 [eng sub] LIVE HD

I absolutely love this song. "Uso" is a made up word that can be translated as "dyed in sorrow". If you take away the kanji and only look at the reading, it sounds like the word "lie", which is quite interesting to note. This performance is from their Tour2019「Forty」, which can be found on Liquefacio. Enjoy!

Translation by me.

Annotations:

"That such a wish would suddenly come true... - That I would ever be missing those painful days..." - The ellipses are added by me to make clear that these are sentences said in disbelief, in wonder about how it could be that something like that would happen.

"Like that, I am here" - Literally "[Like that, I am] in this place".

"Oh eyes looking towards the future" - Same as in many many other songs written by Kyo, what would usually mean "tomorrow" (明日) is given the reading that can make it refer to the near future in general. I believe that is how it's intended here, so I translated it as "future".

"I take it off from my ring finger" - "I" and "my" were decisions I had to make when translating, since no pronouns are given in the original. Keep that in mind when thinking about an interpretation of this song.

"So badly I can't forget about it - I was hurt - On that spring day" - I split this up into 3 bits because this part lasts for almost half a minute. I had initially written down "Oh spring day when I was hurt so badly I can't forget about it".

"You now wear your unmoving smile" - This is a bit of a loose translation. "Now" is to be understood in the sense of "by now", not "right now". "Wear" is me trying to convey the sense of being in a certain state. The original says more literally "You are [in the state of] having an unmoving smile".

I do not own sukekiyo or any of their music or performances.
I translate for fun and wanted to share this translation.

Thank you for watching!
