In a farewell dinner on August 11, 2024, the principals of Papua New Guinea's six national schools of excellence expressed their deep gratitude to Prime Minister Hon. James Marape for his visionary leadership in introducing the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) curriculum. The dinner was for 76 exceptional students, who excelled in STEM during their Grade 12 year in 2023 at Sogeri, Aiyura, Kerevat, Passam, Wawin, and Port Moresby, and are now set to embark on an extraordinary journey to the USA. With prestigious scholarships in hand, they will pursue advanced studies in fields such as aerospace engineering, chemical engineering, civil engineering, petroleum engineering, and more.
